I was brought up in an ambience that privileged the arts. My parents had a considerable collection of outstanding French and Flemish pieces and were close to many contemporary Swiss artists as well.
In 1995 I founded in Zurich what is known today as Daros Services - which concentrates fundamentally on North American contemporary works.
The Daros Collection, which is managed by Daros Services AG, covers international post-war and contemporary art, mainly North American, from the second half of the 20th Century. Besides works by artists representing American abstract expressionism, pop art, and minimalism, like Pollock, Rothko, Warhol, de Kooning, Twombly, or Eva Hesse, it includes positions from New York art of the eighties and since, like Barbara Kruger or Robert Gober, and holds important groups of works by pre-eminent German artists Joseph Beuys, Gerhard Richter, and Sigmar Polke.
With the publication of books and catalogues both monographic and thematic, Daros Collection presents different readings of the works and facilitates analysis, study, and appreciation of the work for art historians and researchers as well as the general public.
