Some years ago, doctor Vera Cordeiro detected that children who were discharged from a hospital became ill again and had to be readmitted due to the precarious conditions in which their families lived. This motivated her to create the Renacer foundation that, with the support of AVINA, looks after children’s post-hospital medical care - anything from nutrition to obtaining medicine, even helping parents find jobs.
