Masisa is the leading company in the production and commercialization of wood boards for furniture and interior architecture in Latin America. It has major forestry assets which assure the supply of necessary raw material. Masisa relies on several industrial complexes located in Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Venezuela and Mexico for the production of wood boards. All are ISO 14.001 and OHSAS 18.001 certified. At present, Masisa is building a MDP plant in Brazil, furthermore, Masisa has pine and eucalyptus plantations in Chile, Argentina, Brazil, and Venezuela; and, as of December 31, 2008, a network of 336 “Placacentros” (retail points of sale) in at least 8 Latin American countries.

The company is a publicly-held corporation, whose stock is traded on the Chilean market. GrupoNueva is the controlling shareholder.
